HP Indigo WS6000p Digital Press

The HP Indigo WS6000p Digital Press is a highquality, continuous feed press with a 38 inch print length for the production of cut-sheet photos, book covers, lay-flat books, and any other simplex applications demanding no-compromise print quality and a production line approach.

The leader in print quality and color. Enabled by HP Indigo’s liquid ElectroInk technology and unique digital offset process, the press produces sharp images with a very thin ink layer, exposing the attributes of the substrate. The press delivers prints of the highest quality that match or even exceed silver halide (AgX) quality. Up to 7 ink stations on the press enable use of HP Indigo’s wide digital color gamut.
• 6-color printing with light cyan and light magenta produces realistic skin and sky tones for professional photo quality applications.
• HP Indigo ElectroInk Light Black used in 2-color printing with black gives great results for monochrome photo reproduction.
• One Shot Color technology delivers perfect registration.
Long image format. The 12.48 x 38.58 inch printing area opens versatile and cost-effective production possibilities. For small format jobs, this also enables more efficient imposition using each frame fully, thereby reducing media waste and producing more copies for the same cost. This amounts to significant savings for producing cut-photo prints, portrait prints, business cards, and more.
High productivity. The press operates at 98 feet per minute for 4-color jobs, and 65 feet per minute in 6 colors.

Wide substrate range. The press includes an inline priming system that allows feeding of standard, affordable substrates of all kinds, including offset uncoated papers, thereby keeping media costs low. The press enables further versatility by feeding substrates with thickness ranging from 27 lb text to 130 lb cover and real photo papers.
Automated end-to-end solutions. A range of end-toend solutions, including inline lamination and customized third party solutions, from pre-press through printing and finishing, reduces production steps and turnaround time.

Book covers and lay-flat books. The press enables the production of book covers and lay-flat books with consistent color and quality, complementing book blocks printed on HP Indigo digital printing technology.
• High productivity—Produce up to 1800 standard size photobook covers an hour in four colors using the press image format capablities.
• Consistent Indigo quality inside and out—The long image format enables production of photobook covers to finish book blocks printed on sheetfed Indigo technology.
• Substrate flexibility—An extended range of compatible substrates enables production of book covers with optimal folding attributes for the production of slick and neat covers, hard covers, soft covers, and dust jackets.
• Lay-flat books—Produce professional 12 x 12 inch or 12 x 18 inch lay-flat books while printing simplex, long format pages, and using HP Indigo partner solutions. Silver halide replacement solution. HP Indigo offers a full digital solution to provide the “look and feel” of consumer and professional photographs.
• Optimized real photo papers—World leading photo paper manufacturers Mitsubishi and Felix Schoeller have developed photo papers for use on HP Indigo digital presses. These papers are similar to silver halide papers but without the chemicals and the added expense.
• Inline roll laminator—For a photo finish, an inline laminator with an embossing roller creates luster, gloss, or matte finish.
• Digital slitter/cutter—A nearline automated system slits and cuts (X-Y Cutting) 4 x 6 inch and 5 x 7 inch cut prints and 8 x 10 inch portrait prints.
• High productivity—Produce up to 25,000 prints (4 x 6 inch) an hour (70% uptime using 4 colors) or 4600 portraits (8 x 10 inch) an hour (70% uptime using 6 colors).
